How is Yôga pronouced?
Say "Yôga", with closed O. The writing is with capitalized Y, because it's a name.

Does Ióga exist?
Yes, but only in Brasil and has nothing to do with Yôga. I do not teach Ióga. Listen to the recording below.

What is Yôga?
Yôga is a life filosophy, strong, initiatic, of milenar tratition. It demands compromise of the sádhaka (the ones who practice Yôga), suggest a code of ethics, demands loyalty and responsability. I teach SwáSthya Yôga, wich is a systematization of Pre-Classical Yôga, wich scholar name is Dakshinacharatántrika-Niríshwarasámkhya Yôga. This treasure has elements as mudrás, pújá, mantras, pránáyámas, kriyás, ásanas, yôganidrá e samyama. The goal of Yôga is to catapult the sádhaka to a state of hyper conscience and high lucidity, called samádhi.

Is there any simple definition that describes all the types of Yôga in the world and in History?
Yes, there is. The technical and main definition we use, proposed by Derose: "Yôga is any methodology strictly practical that leads to samádhi".

The circumflex sign at the word Yôga is only to close the pronunciation of the letter?
No, it's a mark that indicates crasis.

How come?
In sanskrit (Samskrta, language used in Yôga), the word O is a fusion of the letters A + U. That's the reason why the pronounce gets longer and it's needed to indicate with a crasis mark - but the syllable doesn't become necessarily tonic. This mark don't have being the circumflex, but for the portuguese that's the best mark, because it's in the keyboards and, helps to pronouce correctly. If the Macron sign ¯ was common in Portuguese-BR, probably it would be used instead of the circumflex, because it's used to lengthen the syllabe - and that's exactly what we need.

Yes. I graduated at Universidade de Yôga (Yôga University), through Uni-Yôga Av. Rio Branco, from Florianópolis - SC, supported by the SwáSthya Yôga teacher Lisandra Zapelini e Supervised by DeRose Master.

What is SwáSthya Yôga?
It's a proposal of systematization of Yôga in its origin made by DeRose. The work of research about the Ancient Yôga started half century ago and provided the biggest works History ever registered, as the Yôga Shástra, a huge book of almost a thousand pages, containing a very valuable collection of techniques and knowledge of yoga. The formal definition of SwáSthya Yôga is: SwáSthya Yôga is the systematization of the Ancient Yôga.
